Mt Kerkis is an extinct volcano, forming the bulk of the center of the Greek island of Samos. Its highest peak, named Vigla is at approximately 1.400m making it the second-highest peak in the East Aegean Sea. The trail will take you from Votsalakia in Marathocampos, to its peak and introduce you to over 1,400 species of rare plants, many of which are endemic to the island, as well as dozens of species of birds of prey.
