No doubt, it has to be the often perfect conditions that prevail in the Greek seas, which are the mild and gradual changes in temperature, steady and predictable winds, the absence of tides and strong currents and temperatures hovering around 35 degrees Celsius, keeping the wind and water warm.
Kitesurfing / kiteboarding combines all aspects of windsurfing, paragliding, snowboarding and skateboarding, into one extreme sport. It has gained a lot of popularity over the recent years, although it originates back in the 1970s.
Windsurfing, on the other hand, combines elements of surfing & sailing. It is said that it is a mix of both, the laid-back culture of surf sports and the more ruled-based environment of sailing.
SUP originated in Hawai as an offshoot of surfing. Unlike traditional surfing where the rider is sitting until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders maintain an upright stance on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water. Although is a fairly new sport, it has gained enormous popularity and nowadays is considered as a very popular water activity.
