Arachthos river is among the longest rivers in Greece, with a length of approximately 110 km. Its springs are located in the Pindus mountains, near the town of Metsovo and flows into the gulf of Amvrakikos, while it is leaking a portion of Ioannina and the entire Arta prefecture. Among its main contributing tributaries are Kalaritikos, Metsovitikos and Zagoritikos.
Rafting – kayaking routes in this river are included among the most beautiful and exciting in the country and they are broken into 4 according to different levels of difficulty. The duration of each route varies from 2 to 4 hours and each route combines rugged landscape, many springs, waterfalls and gorges of rare beauty.
