Spot Location

Arc de Triomphe or else “the Arch” is among the most popular diving spots on the island and took its name due to its resemblance to the famous Arc in Paris, caused by a big underwater natural arch formed by a rock. It is located close to the bay of Laganas village, which is a National Marine Park. The spot is considered as an ideal one by divers, since it combines deep walls, reefs and cavers. Your dive starts off by going through the small arc at about 8-12 meters, where you will be treated to a brilliant display of soft red corals on the underside of the arc. As you continue your descent, you will spot grouper, morays, large bream and possibly some tuna may pop in if you look out to sea away from the coast. If you are an experienced diver, there is also a cave called the Shrimp Cave that drops at least 30 m down. In general, the spot features water with excellent visibility and high sea temperatures, usually from mid May to end of September.
