Lindos is a town of great historical importance that has been declared as a national land mark, with many of its ancient buildings still intact. Its natural protected bay was used, in the 14th century, as a massive fortress, in order to defend the island against the Ottomans. It is located on the southeast coast, about 55km from Rhodes town and is considered as one of the most spectacular diving spots in the country. It features great walls that keep dropping to more than 70m, caves with large connecting domes and drift diving under the ancient city that still stands above. The average depth ranges from 10m to 70m and the water temperature is usually between 23-29°C.

Scuba diving requires specific equipment and techniques that must be adapted to the natural environment.
